Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for controlling a continuously variable transmission suppressing belt slip at the start of a vehicle.
An ECU executes a program including a step (S104) of starting clutch engagement waiting control when a performance condition is achieved (Yes in S100) and garage instruction is issued (Yes in S102); a step (S108) of starting a timer when secondary pressure exceeds target hydraulic pressure P(2) (Yes in S106); and a step (S114) of starting clutch engagement control when a surge is generated in the secondary pressure (Yes in S112) before set time passes (No in S110) or when the set time passes (Yes in S110).
