The staying place context extraction device 100 acquires a GPS log (log information) and the access point detection history of a radio LAN device as movement history information from a location information collection device 200, and stores the movement history information in a movement history information DB141. Then, the place of context extraction device 100 acquires a GPS log from the movement history information DB141 with prescribed intervals, and when a distance and speed between two data are equal to or less than a prescribed value, extracts the staying place section by using the latitude and longitude of the acquired information, the mean value of detection dates and each mean value of the previous sections. Also, the place of context extraction device 100 acquires an access point detection history from the movement history information DB141, and extracts the section in which the same access point information continues in a prescribed time as a staying place section.
