A parallel crank mechanism comprises a seat supporting part 2 for mounting the seat 9, a pair of first arms 3 turnably mounted to the seat supporting part 2, a pair of second arms 4, and a base part 5. The hoisting device also comprises a connection link member 6 that is in parallel with a line connecting a first turning spindle 5a for journaling the first arms 3 to a second turning spindle 5b for journaling the second arms 4 and connects the first arms 3 to the second arms 4. A driving mechanism 7 turns at least one of the first arms 3 to displace the seat 9.
