Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR HORIZONTAL SETTING OF A PLURALITY OF CAMERAS AND STEREOSCOPIC PHOTOGRAPHING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010161633
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To physically set a plurality of cameras on a horizontal line without calibration which requires complicated computing processes.

The device for horizontal setting of the plurality of cameras includes a photographing device 11 for stereoscopically photographing a predetermined space region 60. The photographing device 11 is formed of a couple of cameras for photographing the predetermined space region 60 from different directions. One of the couple of cameras is provided as a reference camera 11L set to be horizontal at a predetermined reference height to cover, as a scope of photographing, the predetermined space region in the photographing direction 12L and the other is provided as an adjusting camera 11R set at the reference height of the reference camera 11L to keep the photographing direction 12R to be horizontal. The reference camera 11L includes a laser emitting device 20 for horizontally emitting the laser beam LB in the direction of the adjusting camera 11R and the adjusting camera 11R includes a target plate 30 including a target 31 to be irradiated with the laser beam LB emitted from the laser emitting device 20. The target plate 30 fits the target 31 to the horizontal line of the adjusting camera 11R.
