Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for quickly obtaining initial code synchronization in a CDMA (code division multiple access) communication system by using a plurality of PN code generators having respectively different phases of generated PN codes to perform cross-correlation to a received signal.
SOLUTION: This initial code synchronization obtaining device in a CDMA system comprises respective code generators 304 and 306 for generating a plurality of pseudo noise codes (PN code) and respectively adding and outputting the PN codes, respective multipliers 301 and 307 for multiplying the outputted code by a received signal, respective integrators 302 and 308 for accumulating values outputted from the multipliers 301 and 307 for a prescribed section and outputting a correlation value, and a synchronization determining device 312 for comparing the values outputted from the integrators 302 and 308 with a preset critical value.
