PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for processing image with which high output picture quality can be stably provided in spite of order for an operator to set the parameters of filtering processing.
SOLUTION: A GUI module 9a stores a reference code to refer to in first to fourth filtering processing to be applied to reduced image data in an input value storage area 9p of a RAM and while referring to the reference code in the input value storage area 9p, a filtering processing module 9f generates output image data applying first to fourth filtering processing to the input image data in order.
