Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monochromatic image data generating device that can generate monochromatic image data, while reflecting gradation fluctuations in an original image, and to provide a monochromatic image data generating method and a monochromatic image data generating program.
SOLUTION: In calculating the weight coefficient representing the contribution of each color component to a luminance component, the weight coefficient is calculated by comparing gradation fluctuations by each color component of received color image data and applying a relatively large change to a color component, whose gradation fluctuations are relatively large. Thus, by calculating the luminance component using the weight coefficient, monochromatic image data reflecting the gradation fluctuations of the original image can be prepared.
