PURPOSE: To improve the operability of collecting work for production management data without losing generality.

CONSTITUTION: A host computer is a device for supporting the operator's collection of a production management data group having machine and date attributes collected from an equipment. In the device, whether collection is to be executed by the same machine or on the same date is selected by an operator, and when collection by the same machine is selected, a condition for converging the production management data group about the machine attribute is received from the operator at first, and then a condition for converging the data group about the machine attribute is received. Then the production management data group is collected based upon the selected converging condition.
