PURPOSE: To provide a device for moving or pressing an object giving no buckling to a cable inner and allowing a relatively inexpensive cable to be used as the cable inner.
CONSTITUTION: This device for moving an object is provided with a cable 2, an operation head arranged on one end side of the cable 2, and a driving means 6 arranged on the other side of the cable 2. The cable 2 is provided with a cable outer 7 and a cable inner 8 inserted into the cable outer 7. The operation head is provided with a mobile body connected to one end of the cable inner 8 and an elastic means pulling the cable inner 8 to the corresponding operation head side against the cable outer 7 via the elastic force and moving the mobile body. The driving means 6 integrally pulls the cable inner 8 to the driving means 6 side against the cable outer 7.
