Title:
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING FOIL PIECE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59144562
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a titled device which produces directly foil pieces from a molten material with high efficiency by constituting so that a molten material is supplied onto the outside circumferential surface of a heat collecting drum formed with many small surfaces by spiral grooves and axial grooves extending in the directons intersecting with each other and rotating at high speed.

CONSTITUTION: A heat collecting drum 10 provided with 1W plural sets of spiral grooves 4a, 4b or annular grooves, etc. rounding by extending in the directions intersecting with each other on the outside circumferential surface of a cylindrical body and plural axial grooves 25 extending in the axial direction so that both grooves are intersected with each other, and formed with many small faces 6 of a triangular shape, etc. segmented by these grooves is rotated at a high speed by the operation of a rotating device 11 provided with a motor, etc. On the other hand, the molten material 2, such as an Al alloy, held at an adequate temp. by a heating element 18 in a melting tank 17 of a melting device 13 is experted thereon with gaseous pressure through a communicating pipe 19 so that the belt-like molten material is continuously supplied from the nozzle 12 in the lower part of the tank 17 onto the outside circumferential surface of the drum 10. The material 2 cools and solidifies on said surface 6 and is stripped and scattered by the centrifugal force of revolution of the drum 10, by which the foil pieces are continuously obtd.
