Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten the read time of a CD-ROM at the time of reading the CD-ROM by optimizing a look-ahead value to a minimum value. CONSTITUTION:A optimizing means 5 considers delay time which respective CD-ROMs have and optimizes a look-ahead sector value to the minimum value based on data in a look-ahead reference value storing part 7 storing the reference value of the look-ahead sector value and a look-ahead value history storing part 6 storing the history of the look-ahead value of the sector.
