Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent deviation due to dispersion of the diameter of a roller with respect to a desired speed at which cards are conveyed.
CONSTITUTION: A driving roller 3 for conveying optical cards 1, an optical sensor 15 and a counting means 16 both of which measure the amount of rotation of the roller 3 after a reference card 20 has moved a fixed distance, and memory for storing a pulse desired period set according to the measured amount of rotation of the roller 3, are provided. A desired speed of rotation of the roller 3 is determined according to the pulse desired period, and the roller is rotated at the determined speed of rotation to convey the optical cards.
