PURPOSE: To obtain high-purity and clean gaseous helium by recovering a circulating diving gas, surely removing the org. matter in the gas and sterilizing the gas.
CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a holder 2 for transiently storing a diving gas discharged from a pressure-adjusting chamber or a portable small- sized chamber, a compressor 3 for boosting the diving gas in the holder 2, a catalyst tower 4 for burning off the org. matter, bacteria and hydrocarbons in the diving gas, a cooler 5 for cooling the gas from the catalyst tower 4, a filter 6 for removing the debris of bacteria in the cooled gas, a tower 7 for removing the carbon dioxide, water and ammonium in the combustion gas, a helium refiner 8 to remove the oxygen and nitrogen in the combustion gas freed from the carbon dioxide, water and ammonia, a filter 7 for removing the debris of bacteria and dust in the helium and a means for boosting the recovered purified helium by a compressor 10 and filling it in a high-pressure container 11.
