Abstract:
To provide a device for supporting a glass continuous body that holds the glass continuous body horizontally guided, not coming into contact with adjacent hard materials, in order not to be scratched and/or not to cause abrasion by support blocks.
This device for supporting a series of horizontally guided glass continuous body 5 comprises several support blocks 10 each having support faces 10.1.1, 10.2.1 facing the glass continuous body 5. The area of the support faces 10.1.1, 10.2.1 of the each support block 10 are formed by porous membrane bodies 10.1, 10.2 with gas permeability. The membrane bodies 10.1, 10.2 are connected to a compressed gas source to supply gas which perforates the support faces 10.1.1, 10.2.1.
