To provide a device for supporting a photographic subject, which enables simultaneous adjustments of heights of the buttocks supporting part and the upper limb holding part.

A chair elevating and lowering device 4 and a backrest unit 5 are provided on a turntable 3. A vertically-moving screw shaft 9 is provided on the device 4, and a vertically-moving block 11 which vertically moves is mounted on the vertically-moving screw shaft 9 to move vertically. The buttocks supporting part 14 for supporting buttocks of a subject S is mounted on the vertically-moving block 11. The upper limb holding part 16 which moves vertically by the same mechanism as that of the device 4 is provided on a backrest unit elevating and lowering device 17. In the device, the buttocks supporting part 14 is adjusted at a desired height by vertical movements of the vertically-moving block 11. In the same manner, the upper limb holding part 16 is adjusted at a desired height by vertically moving a vertically-moving block 23 of the device 17. Consequently, the subject S is placed in a position suitable for imaging.
