To provide a device for transferring a member capable of sufficiently adsorbing and holding even an object a surface of which is not flat without accumulating stain and foreign matters on an adsorbing surface.
This device 101 for transferring the member includes: an adsorbing tape 1 having the adsorbing surface 1a; a cylindrical case body 2; a trunk body 3 free to relatively move along the longitudinal direction of the case body 2 inside of the case body and to take a first position and a second position; a supplying-collecting part 4 provided on the trunk body 3 and to supply and collect the adsorbing tape 1; and a head roller part 5 provided on one end of the trunk body 3 and to hold the adsorbing tape 1 in a state free to travel and in a direction where the adsorbing surface 1a comes to be on the outside. The head roller part 5 and the case body 2 are positioned so that the head roller part 5 disappears in the inside of the case body 3 when the trunk body 3 is at the first position and at least a part of the head roller part 5 is exposed from the case body 3 when the trunk body 3 is at the second position.
