PURPOSE: To perform an operation safely, surely and promptly, to facilitate hanging by a C hook and to prevent scratches from generating on a coil at the time of hanging, in the handling of a coil for wire or strip materials by a device for turning a coil sideways or erecting it.

CONSTITUTION: The device is structured such that, in a pallet 2 in which a seat and a back are connected with a hinge 3, enabling them to be opened/closed between 90° and 180° and fixed at 90° and 180°, a clamp 4 for clamping a coil 1 is provided in the back, and additionally means are added for opening/closing the pallet 2 as well as for turning sideways and erecting it.
