PURPOSE: To eliminate the error of a turning-over angle caused by slippage by turning over a billet in any case of the round billet and the square billet in a rotary furnace hearth type heating furnace and exerting no influence on the turning-over movement even if the size of the billet varies.

CONSTITUTION: Swing type first tongues 20 and second tongue 30 are parallel arranged with the interval in the shifting direction of the furnace hearth 2. The billet 3 on the furnace hearth 2 is grasped with the first tongue 20 and swung to the second tongue 30 side. This billet is delivered to the second tongue 30 and again laid on the furnace hearth 2. During this movement, the upper and the lower parts of the billet 3 are turned over.
