Abstract:

PURPOSE: To highly precisely work the inner diameter of a bearing by forcibly pressing a ball into a bearing hole worked on a matter to be worked, detecting the load in that time, changing the load into the dimension of inner diameter of the bearing hole and finishing.
CONSTITUTION: An object to be worked 1 is rotated in a high velocity, a stage 4 is moved into X, Y directions, and a bearing hole 18 is worked by using cutting tools 5 to 7. Next, a 2nd ball 10 supplied from a hopper 11 is pressed through the worked bearing hole 1B by using a pressing element 8. The pressing load at this time is detected with a load detecting means 9. A computer 15 calculates the dimension of inside diameter of worked bearing hole 1B from the detected load. If there is an error between the obtained inside diameter and a prescribed inside diameter, a 2nd tool 7 is used and the depth of cut is increased, after then the automatic changing of the depth of cut, etc., can be executed.
