Abstract:
To identify therapeutic and diagnostic uses for naturally occurring soluble EPCR, and further to characterize naturally occurring soluble EPCR.
An altered endothelial protein C receptor has a carboxyl-terminal cystein residue that has been substituted by another amino acid or that has not been palmitoylated. An altered endothelial protein C receptor has not been glycosylated. An isolated endothelial protein C receptor has been selectively spliced. An isolated soluble endothelial protein C receptor has been truncated by a naturally occurring proteolytic cleavage site before a transmembrane domain.
