To improve the erosion resistance to molten Al-base metal and to enable holding of erosion resistance for long term, in a die casting machine parts having contacting surface with the molten Al base metal, such as an injection sleeve, casting hole bush.
These die casting parts are constituted with the injection sleeve 6 and the casting hole bush 5, etc., having the contacting surface with the molten Al-base metal. These parts are composed of Fe-base alloy containing 0.1-1.5wt.% C, 5.0-40wt.% Ni and 2.0-10wt.% at least one kind of carbide-forming element selected among Cr, Mo, W, V, Nb, Ta, Ti and Zr, and on the surface layer part containing the contacting surface with the molten Al-base metal, a high density carbide layer by selective diffusion reaction with the molten Al-base metal is formed as an erosion barrier layer.
