PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of producing dies by binding mechanically a sprue part and casting cavity parts formed by using a copper alloy material to a die fixing plate formed of a ferrous material having high material strength.
CONSTITUTION: The plural recesses for setting die blocks 2a, 2b, 2c are formed to the die fixing plate 1 made of the ferrous material such as ductile cast iron. The die blocks 2a, 2b, 2c are made of a non-ferrous material or non-ferrous alloy, for example, copper alloy having large heat conductivity. About 0.5mm gap for relieving the stress generated from the difference in the coefft. of linear expansion between the copper alloy and ferrous alloy is provided to the mating faces between the die fixing plate 1 and the die block 2. The cost of producing dies can be reduced and the adaptability to a production system of diversified kinds if much improved by such die.
