PURPOSE: To manufacture various kinds of products with a single die, and to manufacture with a high workability since the preparation of many numbers of dies is not required, the die expenditure is not expensive and the die keeping space is needless and the change of die is not required.

CONSTITUTION: When an upper die body 12 is drafted toward a lower die main body 14, since a punch 16 is backed up with a backing card 24A, it is engaged inside the punch relief 28 of the die main body 14 while bending a metallic sheet material 40 in a drafting time of the die main body 12. The punch 18 is retreated inside a punch escaping part 22 with the metallic sheet material 40, since it is not backed up, and does not obtaine the enough pressing force for machining the metallic sheet material 40. Various kinds of products can be manufactured with the single die by selectively inserting the backing card.
