PURPOSE: To align the centers of dies, rams and moving table and make the trial casting of different dies and the removal of the trial castings easy by providing plural trial casting injection nozzles and an oblong hole to the moving table.

CONSTITUTION: First, a moving table 3 is pushed out to outside the press and upper and lower dies 9, 10 are placed thereon. Next, the moving table 3 is returned into the press and rams 4 are lowered through fine adjustment. Next, plural injection nozzles of a trial casting device 7 are so selected that the center of the dies and the centers of the rams 4 and moving table align as exactly as possible. In this state, the upper die 9 is clamped to the rams 4 and the lower die 10 to the moving table 3. To remove the trial casting, the rams 4 are moved upward to separate the dies 9, 10 and the moving table 3 is pushed outside the press. Next, when a knock- out device 11 positions in the range of the oblong hole in the central part of the moving table 3, the moving table 3 is stopped and a knock out cylinder is moved upward to eject the trial casting.
