To provide a die structure design support system and its method in which a plurality of parameters are adopted with sufficient balance and which can automate design of die structure.
The system has required quality-substitute characteristic database 21 which memorizes substitute characteristics corresponding to the required quality, substitute characteristic-parameter database 22 which memorizes parameters which have relevancy in the substitute characteristics corresponding to the evaluation modules to seek the optimum values of these parameters, and a parameter optimization part 15 which extracts, from the database 21, a corresponding substitute characteristic to the required quality input separately and which obtains the optimum values of the parameters calculated by the evaluation module by changing each value of the parameters using the evaluation module memorized in the substitute characteristic-to-parameter database 22 as for the parameters corresponding to the extracted substitute characteristic.
