Title:
DIELECTRIC RESONATOR AND HIGH FREQUENCY DIODE OSCILLATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3605321
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resonator which is superior in stability of the oscillation frequency and easily controls the oscillation frequency only with the structure of a notched part by constituting the resonator so that it may have the notched part, where a high frequency diode is inserted and arranged, in the bottom part and may resonate at a prescribed frequency using the high frequency oscillated by the high frequency diode.
SOLUTION: A dielectric resonator 6 is columnar and has one bottom face 6c brought into contact with a gun diode element earth face 3a of a metallic member 3 and is erected on this face 3a so that its lengthwise direction is in the surface direction of a parallel plate conductor. The center part of one bottom face 6c of the dielectric resonator 6 is provided with a notched part 6b where a gun diode element 2 should be inserted and arranged without contacting. The entire shape of the dielectric resonator is a rectangular parallelepiped, a polygonal prism, a column, or the like, and a rectangular parallelepiped is preferable. In the case of a rectangular parallelepiped, the resonance frequency is mainly determined by external dimensions of the dielectric resonator 6, and the form of the resonance mode is changed by the depth of the notched part 6b, and consequently, the resonance frequency is controlled by adjusting these parameters.
