This agricultural/horticultural pest controlling agent contains, as active ingredient, a difluoroalkenyl compound shown by the formula (1) (wherein, n is an integer of 1-10; R is -CA=B or the like; A is OH or the like; B is an oxygen atom, sulfur atom or the like) and characterized as the number of carbon atoms in the carbon chain including the carbon atom bound to R is odd.
