Title:
DIGITAL AUDIO SIGNAL RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04258852
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To dissolve useless recording of a silent part on a recording medium and to prevent lengthy continuation of the silent state even under reproducing in the digital audio signal recorder for recording a compressed data in burst mode in the medium. CONSTITUTION:When a digital audio signal processed of bit compression by an ADPCM encoder 13 is recorded in a unit of a prescribed amt. (for example, 32 sectors + several sectors) to a magneto-optical disk 2, the silent state of the input audio signal from a terminal 10 is detected by a silent detecting circuit 18. This silent detected signal is sent to a system controller 7, so as to interrupt a signal recording operation. For example, it is prohibited that an ADPCM data is written to a memory 14. By this method, the silent recording part is prevented from increasing on the magneto-optical disk 2.
