Abstract:
To allow a digital book supplier to check whether a digital book file with a limited license can be legally read or not.
This digital book license authentication method includes steps (S10 and S20) for previously obtaining a device identification code (for example, a manufacturing serial number of a central processing unit) of a specific hardware part in each information platform, which has a legally given license, as a legal license given identification code, a step (S32) for decoding the digital book file of a limited license visually only to the information platform having the legally given license, and a step (S31) for forbidding decoding for preventing another information platform from reading.
