Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital broadcast receiving system capable of minimizing a decrease in an error correction capability of a data decoding part even when weighting information such as power information varies due to the influence of a multipath, etc., with respect to received data.
SOLUTION: A digital modulator 1A reproduces the power information based on amplitude comparison results obtained from a pilot signal amplitude comparator circuit 7 by using a nonlinear conversion table 20 for power information generation. The nonlinear conversion table 20 for power information generation in which the power information is nonlinearly correlated with the amplitude comparison results has a nonlinear characteristic which is deflected so that the power information correlated with the amplitude comparison results can be almost '0' in a section between the position where the amplitude comparison results is '0' and a prescribed value in particular.
