A digital broadcast receiver is provided with a key code management table, that stores a function code assigned to each program key code of a key provided on the remote control transmitter and with a means that stores a prescribed program key code of the key provided on the remote control transmitter to the key code management table in relation with a function code corresponding to a function desired by the user, on the basis of the operation of the remote control transmitter by the user.
