PURPOSE: To obtain full duplex form tentatively, through simultaneous speaking from two ends, by controlling a transmission changeover switch and a reception changeover switch, based on the operation of a transmission section.
CONSTITUTION: A reception signal received at a reception section 21A is distributed at a reception changeover switch 20A to the presence/absence of a coexisting state signal. A decoder 18 decoding a signal in a distributed time slot in N-bit/sec transmission bit rate and a decoder 19 decoding a signal at a predetermined split period in N/2 bit/sec or below of transmission bit rate are provided. Based on the presence of the coexisting state signal, the operation of a transmission section 17A, a transmission changeover switch section 16A and the reception changeover switch section 20A are controlled.
