Title:
DIGITAL CONTROL CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3123466
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set power consumption to be less with a small area without using an adder and the like by adding/subtracting a voltage value or a current value corresponding to a digital value by means of adding/subtracting a voltage value or a current value corresponding to one bit for plural times and controlling an analog circuit being a control object.
SOLUTION: A phase frequency comparison result outputted by a quantization comparator 101 is inputted to a digital control circuit 102 and an up signal 105 or a down signal 106 is outputted. A switch-type integrator 103 can add/ subtract the analog value of voltage corresponding to one bit. When the up signal 105 is active, the voltage value corresponding to one bit is added. When the down signal 106 is active, the voltage value corresponding to one bit is subtracted and an analog control object 104 is controlled. The voltage value corresponding to one bit is added/subtracted for plural times. Then, the adder and a D/A converter are not required and the area and the power of an integrated circuit are reduced.
