Abstract:

To notify the arrival of a voice mail to a general-purpose PHS used as a cordless telephone set of a digital cordless system in a office.

This digital cordless system in a office is provided with a PBX 1, BSs 2-1 to 2-n, a unified message server 5 and a PHS message port 6 which are connected to the PBX 1, cordless telephone sets 4-1 to 4-n connected by radio to the BSs 2-1 to 2-n, and a mail server 8 and a PHS message server 9, etc., connected to the unified message server 5 and the PHS message server. In the digital cordless system, when a voice mail reaches a cordless telephone set (for example, 4-n), the cordless telephone set is notified of the arrival of the voice mail by linking a voice mail arrival notifying function by an e-mail of the unified message server 5 to an e-mail arrival notifying function of the PHS message server 9.
