Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently record many information in only one recording medium by recording musical sound digital information in a main information recording area and recording auxiliary digital information relating to the musical sound in an auxiliary information recording area. CONSTITUTION:A signal recording system 4 consists of amplifiers 6, 7, a converter 8, an encoder 9, and a modulating circuit 10, modulates the digitized PCM signal of a musical sound signal to be main information supplied through a terminal 11 and a MIDI code to be auxiliary information supplied to the encoder 9 through a terminal 12 and sends respectively modulated signals to magnetic heads 1, 2. On the other hand, a magnetic tape Tp is wound around the outer periphery of a rotary drum 3 and the tape Tp is traveled at the prescribed speed to record information supplied from the system 4. Consequently, plural unit tracks T inclined in the longitudinal direction of the tape Tp are formed, recording areas M, S for the main and auxiliary information are formed in each track T to record the modulated signals of the PCM signal and the MIDI code respectively in the areas M, S.
