Abstract:
To provide a direct drive main electric motor capable of reducing noise generated in a joint device, and capable of radiating heat from a heat generating part of the main electric motor.
In the direct drive type direct drive main electric motor for directly transmitting the shaft torque of the direct drive main electric motor to a drive wheel for a rolling stock through the joint device equipped with vibration control rubber without using a conversion device for the rolling stock, a cover surrounding the outer peripheral part of the joint device and formed by a material exhibiting enhanced heat conductivity is arranged, and the cover is closely attached to a frame of the main electric motor directly.
