PURPOSE: To improve color forming efficiency of a coupler and to decrease the amt. of the silver to be used by using a restoring agent for the oxidant of an arom. primary amine color developing agent and a color developing soln. of ≤11.5pH provided with a capturing agent for the oxidant of the restoring agent for color development.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive material having at least one photosensitive photographic emulsion layer contg. internal latent image type silver halide particles which are not previously fogged and a color coupler on a base is subjected to imagewise exposure then to the color development under the fogging exposure applied thereto prior to or during the development; further, said material is subjected to processing using bleach fixing and stabilizing or rinsing baths. The color development is processed by using the restoring agent for the oxidant of the arom. primary amine color developing agent and the color developing soln. of ≤11.5pH provided with the capturing agent for said oxidant. Since the efficient use of the color developing agent is thereby permitted, the color forming efficiency of the coupler is high and the amt. of the silver to be used is decreased.
