PURPOSE: To obtain a positive imae superior in sensitivity, gradation, etc., by providing a core/shell type intenal latent image type silver halide emulsion layer having a blue sensitive core containing a sensitizing dye having 465W495nm photosensitivity maximum wavelengths, and a shell having a specified silver halide composition.
CONSTITUTION: The direct positive photographic material of this invention has a core/shell type internal latent image type silver halide emulsion layer consisting of a blue-sensitive core containing a sensitizing dye having 465W495nm photosensitivity maximum wavelengths, and a shell having a silver halide composition containing ≥75mol% AgCl among silver chlorobromoiodide, thus permitting a photographic material suitable for copying, high in sensitivity and contrast, and good in development stability to be obtained.
