Title:
DIRECTIONAL STABILIZER OF AIRPLANE WITH VERTICAL CANARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01306394
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the enforcement of directional stability and the prevention of approach to a dangerous range when a fault is caused by providing a pentral fin as a newly added steering face in the rear of the center of gravity and using it as a control steering face together with a vertical canard and a rudder. CONSTITUTION:An angle of elevation alpha and an angle of side-slip beta obtained in an air data computer 11, a roll rate P obtained in a rate gyro 12, and a fault detecting signal obtained in a vertical canard fault detector 13 are sent to a flight controller 14, respectively. Then, the controller 14 calculates the steering directions and steering amounts of a rudder actuator 15, a vertical canard actuator 16, and a pentral fin steering actuator 17 from the values of the angle of side-slip beta and the product Palpha of the roll rate and the angle of elevation, and outputs the operation commands to each steering face actuator. According to a vertical canard fault signal, it increases the gains of the rudder and pentral fin steering amounts to output the operation comands to each steering face actuator.
