To provide a disc brake having improved noise performance by stabilizing the position of a pad in the radial direction of a disc during braking.
The disc brake comprises the pad 30 having a guide portion 36 at the end corresponding to the rotating direction of the disc 50. The guide portion is movable relative to a supporting portion 12 of a mount 10 along the axis of rotation of the disc 50 and it is supported in the state that the movement to the radial direction of the disc 50 is restricted to be constant. The pad 30 has a torque receiving portion 38 which is borne by a bearing portion 14 on the side of the mount 10 at two positions inside and outside the guide portion 36 when the pad is moved to the rotating direction of the disc 50. The torque receiving portion 38 of the pad 30 and the bearing portion 14 of the mount 10 are set to be tapered corresponding to each other.
