Title:
DISCRIMINATION OPERATION APPARATUS OF ISAR IMAGE TARGET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3412973
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check a direct inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) image with a three dimensional shaped model, to accurately estimate rotation movement of the target and to estimate an attitude angle thereof.
SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises ISAR image processing sections 12, 15 that designate a plurality of points on an ISAR image and obtain relationships of relative positions among the points on a two-dimensional face, three-dimensional shaped model processing sections 12-14 that obtain corresponding points corresponding to the plurality of points on the ISAR image in terms of the three-dimensional shaped model which is optionally selected from three- dimensional shaped model data base of a target and obtain relationships of relative positions in a three-dimensional space of each of the corresponding points and estimation processing sections 16-19 that compare respective relationships of the relative positions obtained by each of the processing sections and estimate the grade of the agreement between the ISAR image and three- dimensional model. The three-dimensional model which agrees with the ISAR image is selected from the data base by using the estimated result of the estimation processing sections so that the target can be discriminated.
