Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with conventional dishwashers-and-drying that drying time becomes longer than necessary, particularly when outside air temperature is low.
SOLUTION: A dishwasher-and-drier includes an exhaust fan 5 by which water vapor in a washing tank 2 is exhausted via an exhaust port 11 and a sheath heater 3 heating air fed by the exhaust fan 5, and performs drying by operating the exhaust fan 5 and the sheath heater 3 after heating and rinsing. The dishwasher-and-drier also includes a control circuit which performs control of the quantity of air such that during drying after heating and rinsing, the quantity of air through the exhaust fan 5 is made lower for a predetermined time at the beginning of the drying process than under normal conditions; after the predetermined time has elapsed, the quantity of air through the exhaust fan 5 is restored to the normal quantity. In this case, a temperature detecting element 12 detecting temperature inside the washing tank 2 is provided, and the control circuit controls the quantity of air according to the temperature inside the washing tank 2, detected by the temperature detecting element 12.
