To provide a disk-like recording medium and a disk device for preventing a head slider from colliding with a projection part in a landing zone when the head slider is retreated to the landing zone even when a floating amount is small with a simple constitution.
This disk-like recording medium is provided with a data recording area 13a where the head slider is floated in the prescribed floating amount at a rotation driving time for recording/reproducing the data by a head fitted to the head slider and the landing zone 13b provided adjacently to the data recording area and with which the head slider is in contact at a rotation stop time. Then, the landing zone 13b is provided with the projection formed by laser irradiation so that its height is increased gradually from the data recording area 13a side toward the opposite side.
