To provide a dismantling apparatus for efficiently performing a dismantling operation.
The dismantling apparatus 1 cuts a cassava A having a stem A2 and a plurality of tuberous roots A1 attached to the stem A2, separates the plurality of the tuberous roots A1 from the stem A2 and dismantles the cassava. The dismantling apparatus 1 is equipped with a tubular support 2 for supporting the cassava A, makes the cassava A upside-down and inserts the stem A2 into a space part 5 for stem insertion of the support 2. The dismantling apparatus 1 is equipped with a rodlike tuberous root dismantling body 3 that nips the base end side of each tuberous root A1 of the cassava A supported on the support 2 between the rodlike tuberous root dismantling body and the upper end of the support 2. The rodlike tuberous root dismantling body 3 is moves to and from the support 2 and inserts the bottom part of the rodlike tuberous root dismantling body into the space part 5 for stem insertion of the support 2 by the advance movement.
