Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition and screening facility and a decomposition and screening method by which contaminants packaged in a bag body can be efficiently decomposed and screened, and further, an influence of the contaminants onto an operator can be reduced.SOLUTION: A flexible container bag F, in which contaminants with a radioactive material adhered thereto are accommodated, is transported by a delivery conveyor 2, and then, the flexible container bag F is crushed by a crusher 4. The crusher 4 effectively crushes matters to be treated by driving a rotary shaft 42, to which a crushing blade unit 44 having a crushing blade 44b is mounted, at a speed higher than that of a rotary shaft 43 to which an engagement blade unit 45 having an engagement blade 45b is mounted. An indoor gas is sucked through a suction pipe 39 from an input storage chamber 30 which surrounds a terminal end part of the delivery conveyor 2 and an input port 41a of the crusher 4, and dusts are collected by a dust collection device. Dusts, which are generated in the process of crushing by the crusher 4, can be prevented from diffusion thereof.
