Title:
DISPERSED EL ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05326152
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To allow the use of a large quantity of a low molecular cyanoethyl compound having a high dielectric constant by mixing, as a binder material for insulating layer and light emitting layer, a specified hydroxyalkyl cellulose with the cyanoethyl compound in a specified weight ratio.

CONSTITUTION: As a binder material for insulating layer and light emitting layer to be provided between electrodes of an EL element, the following material is used. Namely, a mixture of 5-50wt.% of a cyanoethylated hydroxyalkyl cellulose having a hydroxyalkyl group substituting ratio of 1-2.3 with 50-90wt.% of a cyanoethylated compound of a material having at least one kind of hydroxyl group selected from minor saccharides, sugar-alcohols, polyhydric alcohols, and their derivatives having molecular weights less than 500 is used.
