PURPOSE: To provide a displacement amount measuring device using a screw for a scale part.
CONSTITUTION: A screw 2 and a magnetic resistance sensor 1 are arranged in capable of relative movement to each other, and the magnetic resistance sensor 2 puts out a detection signal corresponding to the pitch of the screw 1. The sensor is connected to a detection circuit and provided so that it can put out a signal corresponding to a displacement amount in the pitch of the screw 1. The number of pulses corresponding to the displacement amount of one pitch is set in advance, and by adding it to the number of pulses corresponding to the displacement amount in one pitch, displacement by pitches can be grasped in the order of decimal point, and the displacement amount is measured by converting the pitch in the decimal point order to the length. Existing screws and feed screws of machine tools and electric tools can be used for a scale part, which can reduce cost.
