To provide a display device and a computer program which perform expansion and scroll display of a display area according to touch panel operation.
A CPU (Central Processing Unit) 14 sets the display area in a display area change part 12, and displays a partial image that is a part of an image generated based on data read from a storage part 17 and included in the display area on a display part 11. When a touch panel 10 equipped in front of the display part 11 detects contact, the expanded display area is set in the display area change part 12. When the touch panel 10 detects drag operation, a position on the image of the display area set in the display area change part 12 is changed according to a movement direction and a movement distance of a contact position in the drag operation, and the partial image is scroll-displayed on the display part 11. When the touch panel 10 has not detected the contact, the expanded display area is changed into the display area of normal size.
