A display device includes: an image generation unit 102 for generating a 3D view image based on data relating to a video to be displayed on a screen; a feature value acquisition unit 104 for acquiring a feature value relating to an image in a predetermined area included in the video; a protruding amount calculating section 106 for calculating a protruding amount relating to a distance by which the image in the predetermined area, in the 3D view image, looks protruded spatially from the screen; and a display control unit 110 for displaying the 3D view image on the screen such that the image in the predetermined area looks protruded, based on the protruding amount.
