Abstract:
PURPOSE:To display the sequence process state without increasing the number of display elements by actuating plural display elements used in a normal process mode in a mode different from the normal mode according to the progress of the sequence in a special routine job mode. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 13 which controls the overall operation of an electrophotographic apparatus receives the detection signals from various types of detectors as well as the signal from a control switch on a control panel and performs the sequence control of various processes. At the same time, the CPU 13 monitors the working state of each process and displays it on a display panel 17. Here a display mode switching circuit 15 is added to detect the start of a special process, e.g., the exchange of the developer and to switch the display mode. At the same time, the circuit 15 delivers selectively the signals sent from a pulse generating circuit 16 to the display elements 18-25 of the panel 17. In this case, the circuit 16 delivers a drive signal of a frequency different from the display mode of a normal state to actuate the display elements in a mode different from the normal state.
